Kendriya Vidyalaya Udalguri was opened in the academic session 2010-11 and inaugurated on 16 August 2010 by Hon’ble Minister of PHED Govt. of Assam Mr. RihonDaimari in August presence of Mr. S.S. MeenakshiSunderam, IAS, the then Deputy Commissioner, Udalguri (B.T.A.D).Kendriya Vidyalaya Udalguri is under MHRD, Govt. of India and exclusively administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under Ministry of HRD Govt. of India.
The Vidyalaya is under Civil Sector and sponsored by Govt. of Assam. The Vidyalaya is running in a temporary accommodation and with sufficient space and infrastructure. Presently running up to Class X during Session 2021-22.
Dr. Dr. Sadnek Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Udalguri is the Chairman of the Vidyalaya. Sh. Bikramjeet Paul Choudhury is the In-Charge Principal of the Vidyalaya who is the Vice-Principal of KV CRPF Amerigog. The Vidyalaya has well equipped Computer Lab.
